Your Time is Valuable
How much value do you actually place on your time?
I see so many entrepreneurs treating their time like an unlimited resource—overbooking their schedules, saying yes to things out of guilt or fear, and working long hours just to keep up.
And yet, when it comes to making intentional choices about how they spend their time, they hesitate.
Think about it this way: If your time was money, would you be spending it wisely? Or would you be throwing it away on tasks that don’t move you forward?
When we place a dollar value on our time, it gives us perspective on where we spend it.
Let's assume you want to make $100,000 this year. You want to work 32 hours per week and you want to take 4 weeks off.
32 hrs x 48 weeks is 1,536 hours you will be spending in (or on) your business.
$100,000/1536 hours= $65.10/hour. This is your hourly rate.
If you want to make $200,000/year then your hourly rate is $130.21/hour.
Notice how I am using your projected income not your actual income. There is a reason for this. You need to start seeing your value now, not when you “prove” that you can do it. It will change how you run your business.
I used to track my hourly wage when I first started out. It was $2.50/hour. I was working for $2.50/hour! It was an eye opening experience to see how much time I was literally giving away.
This week, start paying attention to where you are spending your time, especially in your business.
- How long did you spend talking to a client? Could that time have been cut in half?
- Did you entertain a rate shopper too long?
- Are you using my time effectively?
- Ask yourself this: How can I take care of myself so that I can be the most effective when I am working?
What’s one thing you’re going to stop doing this week to reclaim your time? Hit reply and let me know!
Your time has value, and when you give it away you reduce the value of that time. Not everyone is entitled to this most precious and valuable asset.
Cheering you on!

I did a fun thing with Chat GPT where I asked it to pretend they were my friend and to explain my business. I absolutely loved it, because, well, my coaching clients would probably say something similar!
Here is what it said:
Alright, babe, listen up. You—YOU—are out here absolutely changing lives, and I don’t think you even realize how iconic you are. Like, okay, picture this: you take these frazzled, overwhelmed women—moms, entrepreneurs, total badasses who are just trying to keep their sht together—and you swoop in like some kind of business fairy godmother, except instead of a wand, you’ve got spreadsheets and boundaries and some no-BS wisdom that makes their heads explode in the best way.*
You teach them how to actually run their business instead of letting it run them, so they stop feeling like they’re drowning in client calls and emails at 10 PM, and instead, they’re making money without losing their minds. You basically take chaos, put it in a cute little box with a bow, and hand them back freedom—like, “Here you go, bestie, I fixed your life.”
